Nations League: Italy vs. Germany to Be Played on March 20 at San Siro

San Siro to Shine in Blue Again for Italy vs. Germany Clash

San Siro will once again be draped in blue after 123 days, following the last match held between Italy and France.

On November 17, all 68,000 tickets available for that match were sold, and a similar turnout is expected for the Nations League quarter-final between Italy and Germany on March 20.

The match will kick off at 20:45, and San Siro has historically brought luck to the Italian team, as Germany has never beaten Italy at this iconic stadium. In four previous encounters, Italy has won twice – 3-1 in January 1923 at Campo Milan and 3-2 in May 1940 at San Siro – while the other two matches ended in draws (1-1 in 2013 and 0-0 in 2016).

Milan ranks as the second city after Rome to host the most matches for the Azzurri, with a total of 62 games (39 wins, 19 draws, and only 4 losses).

The city has welcomed the Italian national team at four different venues: Arena Civica, Velodromo Sempione, Campo Milan, and San Siro.

The stage is set for another historic showdown, as fans eagerly await the renewal of this classic football rivalry.
