“Milan is a Giant Club, I Want to Be a Role Model” – Gimenez Grateful: “I’m Enjoying Every Second”

Santiago Gimenez has embarked on a new chapter in his career, swapping Feyenoord for the iconic red and black of AC Milan. Since joining the Rossoneri, the Mexican striker has made 7 appearances and scored 2 goals, gradually adapting to life in Serie A.

Speaking during Mexico’s national team training camp, Gimenez opened up about his experience at Milan and the emotions tied to joining one of football’s most historic clubs.

“When I arrived at Milan, I instantly felt the greatness of the club. I had already sensed it from the outside, but once you’re inside, you realize it’s twice as big—it’s truly a giant.”

Despite Milan not being at their best form currently, Gimenez emphasized the warm welcome he received:

“We’re not going through our best moment right now, but the way they welcomed me has been amazing. I’m living a dream and I want to be a role model—to show that with God, everything is possible. I try to live in the moment and enjoy every second.”

On Life in Milan:

Adjusting to a new city and culture hasn’t been without its challenges, as Gimenez explained:

“Like any big change, the first month was a bit complicated—new things, new roads, a completely different environment, and of course, the language barrier. But little by little, I’m adapting.”

He also praised the support of his partner:

My wife has helped me a lot. She’s made things easier and allowed me to fully focus on football.”

With a humble attitude and growing confidence, Santiago Gimenez is slowly making his mark in Milan—not just on the pitch, but in the hearts of fans who admire both his talent and character.
